Super Falcons winger Francisca Ordega has been named the Saudi Women’s Premier League Player of the Month for March after a stellar run of form for Al Ittihad. The 31 year old outshone fellow Nigerian Ashleigh Plumptre and Congo’s Naomie Kabakaba to scoop the prestigious award.

Ordega delivered four goals and three assists in just three league appearances during the month, marking a dominant spell that saw her become a vital figure for Al Ittihad since joining the club on a free transfer earlier this year. It is her first time winning the Player of the Month honour in the Saudi top flight.

Her outstanding performances earned her the highest number of fan votes in a tight contest between three standout African stars.
